For those of you new to my blog, Botticelli is a small apparel boutique that I started 7 years ago in downtown El Paso. About 5 years ago we set our roots on the Westside of El Paso, where I grew up and where I wanted us to expand the boutique.
At the end of December 31, 2020 Botticelli is moving into a new business direction. I’m doing this for a number of reasons. The most obvious for any small business, this year with Covid-19, it has been very challenging to say the least. Unplanned shut-downs, delays in product deliveries, a lack of foot traffic, etc.,etc.
But truth be told, I’ve been thinking about shutting down the store before this, because I feel that Botticelli was moving in a different direction from where it started. There for a moment I wanted our store to become a little bit of everything for everyone. In hindsight, I don’t believe that was a very good strategy.
So what exactly does that mean for the future of Botticelli? It means that I’m merging my personal goals with those of Botticelli’s. Let me explain.
I want to take things back to basics and streamline my products and the process by how I connect with you. What do I mean by this? Going forward, I want to focus on bringing you value, in both information and products, that I feel confident and passionate about. I also want to hear directly from you!
I recently started this personal blog “Botticelli Lifestyle” and a YouTube channel under my name that reflects what I want to focus on in the future. Both my blog and YouTube channel will focus on topics surrounding health, fitness, and lifestyle. I’ll talk about different topics of interest to women over 40 that will help you age as a stronger and healthier version of your current self.
With that said, I plan on doing a number of product launches from some of the brands that those of you that know us, have grown to love. I want to provide you with valuable information that will help you make informed decisions on a wide range of topics and products. I will create video content for these products and will share via my YouTube channel. Products will be available through Botticelli’s Instagram (@botticellis) and my website so, make sure to follow this blog for our latest updates.
As for our brick-and-mortar location, for the time being at the start of 2021, we will be functioning as a showroom only and available by appointment. I will also open up for special events and/or product launches.
If you have been with Botticelli over the years, I hope you continue to follow this journey. If you’re new, I hope that you will join me for the ride. I’m definitely looking forward to the future and whatever that may bring.
I thank everyone that has supported us over the last 7 years. It has been quite the ride.
I look forward to connecting with you in the near future. Until next time, stay healthy and stay safe!
